LTL / GROUPAGE

Part loads, groupage and regular routes

Part loads and groupage to Germany, Scandinavia, Romania, Czechia, Lithuania and the Balkans: you pay for the space you need; dates confirmed per route.

Service scope

Part loads, groupage and regular routes: scope and terms.

Every order is verified individually based on route, dates, cargo parameters and special requirements.

You pay for the space you need

A part load can be a solution when the cargo does not need a whole vehicle. Whether consignments can be combined depends on the route, the date, the parameters and the nature of the goods.

Destinations

We accept enquiries for Germany, Sweden and Norway (groupage and part loads to Scandinavia), Romania, Czechia, Lithuania and North Macedonia, among others. For routes outside the customs union, such as North Macedonia and Norway, we agree the documents and customs clearance before the order — clearance is arranged with our network of partner customs agencies in Europe.

What to know before you enquire

  • Stackability and pallet dimensions determine whether the cargo can be combined with others. State them from the start.
  • The CMR note usually accompanies an international part load; reservations about the condition of goods are entered at delivery, and non-apparent damage is reported in writing within 7 days of delivery, excluding Sundays and public holidays (Art. 30 CMR).
  • FTL or part load? You will find a comparison of the selection criteria in the article on choosing between FTL and a part load (Polish only).
  • A flexible date increases the chance of a favourable combination. A fixed time window is better served by a dedicated van or FTL.

Frequently asked questions

Part loads, groupage and regular routes — questions and answers

General answers. Details of each order are always confirmed individually.

What is the difference between a part load and groupage?
A part load means adding your cargo to a vehicle travelling a similar route, usually without transhipment. Groupage goes into a network with transhipment at terminals. The choice depends on how sensitive the goods are, the deadline and the route.
Is the delivery date for a part load fixed?
The date depends on whether consignments can be combined on the given route, so we confirm it for the specific enquiry. If you have a fixed time window, tell us straight away — we will propose a dedicated option.
What document accompanies a part load abroad?
The international CMR consignment note with a description of the goods, the number of packages and the weight. At delivery it is worth counting the items and entering reservations on the note; non-apparent damage is reported in writing within 7 days of delivery, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
What information speeds up a quote?
Number of pallets or items, weight and dimensions, stackability, date flexibility, addresses and operating hours, and customs or document requirements.
